My husband goes through shoes like crazy so I try to buy him a pair for his birthday in the summer or for the holidays. Vans are obviously more durable than the $15 shoes from Wal-Mart or Target, but paying the extra $30 for a few extra months is well worth it since my husband can go through 4 pairs of the cheap shoes in 6 months, easy!

I have the black swede shoes. They could easily be mistaken for canvas, but they are indeed black swede. Very classic look. Plain and simple, which I quite like. They have really nice arch support inside, which often is not the case. Some padding around the ankle, as well as the footbed, though not a ton. They are still quite comfortable. A little bit heavy as the sole is rubber. Not a lot of tread on the bottom, but some. These shoes are Made in China, so kind of pricey at seventy-five bucks, but nice, casual shoes overall.

Very pretty. A little tight when you first put them on but they soon stretch out to a comfortable fit.

Sometimes I fall asleep with them on and they don't bother me at all. I can't even tell I'm wearing them.

Great shoes that fit well and are very comfy. They do not hit my ankle when I walk. They don't have a lot of padding like a running or walking shoe, yet are very comfortable on a walk. I have worn them on a 5 mile fitness walk and they were good. I also have bunions and they do not have straps that hurt my feet like some shoes. I usually wear them for casual wear with pants.
