ordered a half size down as with most superstars and it fits fine. you can't remove the character from the shell toe, its fused on there. my only complaint is that the rubber feels strange, like its falling apart. after taking the shoes out of the box, my shirt was covered with white eraser shaving like pieces. after rubbing the midsole, my fingers got sticky and more of that stuff came off. i ended up scrubbing with reshoevn8er and the eraser shaving problem is gone, but it still has a little tack when touching it. the rest of the shoe is fine.

As of this review I don't know how much these shoes cost so I have to rate based on construction and comfort alone. I like to incorporate cost when I can but can't this time. These shoes are extremely light weight and seem to be very well constructed. I don't know how they will hold up when worn while running, but for basic comfort they feel good. They have a bit of a lower ridge in the inside where the toes go and I'm not sure if I like that yet or not. It does give my toes something to sort of grip. The laces allow me to tighten them up since I have a narrow foot. I like the colors and they have a nice, sleek look about them. They don't feel good when worn without socks because of some scratchiness so if you like go sockless you might not like these shoes. But when worn with socks they are very comfortable. I received a size 9 for review and they seem true to size. These seem to be true to size.

A great shoe. Very comfortable and got loads of compliments. This is mysecond pair. Asics sizes are very consistent.Too bad the replacement model, the GEL DS 22 is so drab looking.

Authentic, and true to size in both width and length. Zero arch support for those over forty. These Vans slay me; the checkerboard style reminds me of high school, 5,000 years ago, and dancing with the Italian Formula One team in Long Beach 4,000 years ago. That's right, I'm having a mid-life crisis and Vans helps assuage my desires.

These sneakers are leather, with the exception of the bottom. You will think they are dirty at first or have been worn previously, but that is how they are manufactured. If you look at the top pictures for the product, you can see that the color of the sneaker is also smudged on the rubber portion and on the bottom of the sole. This is a design element. The leather is nice and they are comfortable.

I ordered these shoes for my new job and I find myself wearing them more often than I expected. I normally wear a size 10.5... so I ordered my usual size and I am very happy that I did. They fit very well. I chose these for work since my wife said they are the perfect "look" for casual office attier. Not too fancy, but dressy enough to still look classy. Even with jeans. I wear them for entire shifts without my feet complaining too. And I often run around all day long and often try to take the stairs. I think they look great and would certainly buy another pair from this brand.
